Pension amendment fails

SPRINGFIELD -- A proposed pension amendment failed to get enough votes at the polls. Supporters say it would've started real reform for the state, but groups like the Illinois Policy Institute don't agree.

Kristina Rasmussen says it did little in the way of introducing any real change or helping save any money. She says lawmakers need to get serious about pension reform.

They're expected to continue talks this January.
