URBANA -- He didn't get a victory Tuesday night, but already a candidate for State Representative may run for a different office. Michael Langendorf hoped to kick Chad Hays out of the 104th District seat. The race was fairly close but no victory for the Democrat.

Langendorf says we may still see him on the ballot.

"The people in Urbana have been trying to get me to run for City Council, but there's 15 days to file so we'll see," says Langendorf.

Candidates have 15 days to file in Urbana and 19 in Champaign. Champaign City is taking petitions nominating City Council members districts 1 - 5 and both township positions. They must be filed between November 19 - 26. The primary is in February.
