CHAMPAIGN -- A gunfight in one neighborhood led to an evacuation. It happened Sunday just after noon near Fourth and Hill streets.

Witnesses say two groups of men fired shots at each other. When police arrived, they found a Dodge pickup truck had struck a home after the shots were fired. The driver took off on foot.

The SWAT team was called in to find potentially armed suspects. Nearby homes were evacuated.

Police searched a home in the 400-block of Church Street. There, they found four guns and drugs. Charles Thomas, Jr., of Champaign, was arrested on drugs and weapons charges.
