RIVERTON -- Did you remember to change your smoke alarm batteries? Fire departments are reminding folks this daylight savings.

They say it's the perfect time to make sure everything is working. Riverton Fire Chief Louie Rogers says everyone needs to have one. Reports show having a smoke alarm cuts the risk of dying in half.

He says they see too many fires where it could've been prevented. And don't forget to check your carbon monoxide detectors too.
