Urbana soccer advances to first ever state final

Frankfort- For the first time in school history, the Urbana Tigers soccer team will play for a state title after winning 2-1 against St. Viator. The Tigers continue their history making run, advancing farther than any other team in program history.
David Anderson got the scoring started, after a clever pass from Saul Downie. That goal made it 1-0, and the Tigers took that lead into halftime.
In the second half, leading goal scorer Jonathan Lukusa chipped the ball over the keeper, extending the Urbana lead to 2-0. A late St. Viator goal was not enough to stop the celebration, as Urbana will play in the state championship game against powerhouse Peoria Notre Dame.
