Two arrested on class x drug charges

CLINTON -- A couple facing drug charges will remain in custody. John and Mary Smith asked a judge to lower their bonds.

They were arrested in October after police say they found cocaine in their home. They live just feet away from an elementary school. They face up to 95 years in prison.

CLINTON -- A couple arrested in a drug bust face charges including criminal conspiracy and money laundering. State police say the found cocaine in the home of John and Mary Smith.

They live just feet from Webster Elementary School. If convicted, each could get 95-years in prison.

CLINTON -- Two people face drug charges including three class x felonies. 54-year old John Smith and 52-year old Mary Smith are being held in the DeWitt County Jail pending bond hearings.

They're accused of drug conspiracy, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and money laundering. The charges were enhanced for occurring less than 1,000 feet from a school.

Authorities have not said which drugs the pair is accused of having, saying the case is still under investigation.
