MATTOON -- A former employee of the RR Donnelley Company plant must pay back $60,000 + after pleading guilty to felony theft. 55-year old Wallace Sanders admitted stealing 140,000 pounds of aluminum sheeting while working alone during late-night and weekend shifts at the printing company between July 2008 - July 2011.

He also admitted altering documents to conceal the thefts. The plea agreement includes two years probation for the conviction which could have resulted in a 3-7 year prison term. Investigators determined Sanders, on average, loaded about 1,100 pounds of the metal sheeting onto his own vehicle each week to take it from the plant.
