DECATUR -
For twenty years, Decatur's Habitat For Humanity has been working there to give homes to those who need them most. Now more than 50 homes later, they say there's no end in sight.

Workers are currently building numbers 50, 51, and 52. The 50th house is under construction at 1735 N. 28th St. The group of Habitat volunteers are also working on houses at 1635 N. 28th St. and in the 1400 block of East Decatur Street.

And as the hammers pound away, to those waiting to move in, it's music to their ears. Take Lynn Booker for one, to him, it's the sound of a bright future in a home of his own. "Financially me and my wife were not able to mortgage a house," said Booker, "so this is a great opportunity for us to obtain a home so I can work on my family."

After two decades and so many houses, Habitat says they are not spending too long looking back at all that's been accomplished. Instead, workers say they're looking ahead at how many more they can build.
