Georgetown Man Charged With Abusing Baby

McGeheeA Danville man was arrested accused of abusing a 14-month-old baby. 23-year-old Jeffrey McGehee is charged with aggravated battery and predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. Court records indicate the abuse happened between Sunday and Monday of this week. McGehees family says theyre standing by their loved one. Jeffrys family says hes a family man, who would never abuse a child. The babys mother says she wants some answers. The fifteen-month of girl suffered severe head injuries and some form of sexual assault. Jamie Williams, the childs mother says The Department of Children and Family Services has issued a no contact order and no one is allowed to see the infant. No word on her condition. McGehee is due back in court March 15 for a preliminary hearing
