SPRINGFIELD -- The state is getting a $1 million federal grant to help fight off cyber terrorism. The money is going toward training programs.

The University of Illinois and the Illinois Terrorism Task force are teaming up to help keep our virtual world safe. The grant will pay to train local governments to deal with online attacks. Our officials will also train the rest of the country.

Experts say we are way behind in online security. They say stealing online files is easier than grabbing them out of your filing cabinet. Now, we need to play catch-up or else risk a security breech.

Experts also say online security is extremely important and that it's necessary to take steps to protect it. However, some are not sure $1 million is enough to get the job done right.
