Champaign Police say they got a call that someone was shooting at a blue Oldsmobile on Bradley avenue.  They say the car then took off, and ran right into the Oakwood Trace apartment complex.  Police are still piecing together what happened after that.  They're searching for the shooter and the two people they think were in the car.
They all fled from area and now  police want to know why shots rang out in this neighborhood during the day.

Sgt. David Griffet says, "it's something that took place in broad daylight..one in the afternoon on a Friday. Champaign schools were out today and there were some kids and people walking around because it was one of the decent weather days we've had."

Investigators tried to follow footprints from the scene and also questioned neighbors and people who saw the crash. They say there was some blood found near the area of the shooting, but they aren't sure if it's from this incident.  They want to make sure no one was injured, and ask you to call them or Crimestoppers with any information.
