CHAMPAIGN -- Teachers, parents and administrators got together to celebrate the district's latest accomplishment. Carrie Busey Elementary students officially dedicated their school Thursday.

Community members also got a tour of the brand new building. The school has state of the art technology and is designed to use less energy. All of it cost $18.5 million to build but, people who saw the end result say it was worth every penny.

"I think the sales tax is a fantastic thing. I think this environment did just what they said which is providing a good environment for our kids to learn," says parent Doug Smith.

People could also sit and have supper with Superintendent Judy Wiegand.
