VERMILION COUNTY -- The Catlin School District can't agree with teachers on contracts. Now, a third party has to come in to help.

Thursday night, some of the 44-teachers without contracts held a picket. They stood outside the board meeting with signs. The issues on the table are money and teacher evaluations.

Teachers also say they don't have the proper tools to teach children, but they're still dedicated to the job. Teachers say they've tried to bargain with the district four times since July. Both sides meet with a federal mediator October 22.
