SPRINGFIELD -- A Champaign woman is being honored for her work in the fight against cavities. Mary Knoll is a dental hygienist at Smile Healthy.

She's getting one of the highest dental honors in the state from the I-Floss coalition. Knoll does dental work for low-income kids.

She says she was so shocked when they called her name, she thought it was a mistake. The nominating committee says Knoll always goes above and beyond to keep her patients' teeth healthy.
