Pension amendment on ballot

SPRINGFIELD -- When you head to the polls next month, you'll be asked if you want to make a change to the state constitution. Voters get to weigh in on what's being called Amendment 49.

It would make it harder to change any taxpayer-funded pension system. If approved, it would mean any legislative body, like the state house or city council, would need 3/5 vote to pass changes.
