CHARLESTON -- Children got a gift from the city's fire department; a new playground. This is the toy truck firefighters made for students at Mark Twain Elementary.

The family of one of the firefighters found the equipment, but it was in pretty bad shape. They spent the past few months fixing it up.

The truck was delivered on Columbus Day. Since the students were gone, it was the first day they got to play on it. Most of the project was done with donated materials and volunteer workers at the fire department.
