CHAMPAIGN -- An eight-year-old is using his birthday to help others. Monday is Jeremiah King's golden birthday. He was hit by a car in August and is currently in Chicago for physical therapy.

Instead of asking for birthday presents, he asked people to give to other kids in need. People donated $3,000 and a truckload of stuff to families at the Ronald McDonald House.

People here also celebrated the big day at Texas Roadhouse. The restaurant was decorated with balloons and pictures of Jeremiah. A portion of the earnings is going to the King family.
