Danville Armed Robbery

Updated: February 26, 2007
Another Danville business was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night. A suspect held up the East Main Street Subway Sandwich Shop about 5:30. Two female employees were not injured in the hold up. It's the fifth robbery in the area in a week. Earlier targets included a Super 8 and Best Western motels, plus a woman was robbed outside a North Vermilion Street business. Danville police spokesman Larry Thomason says he's not sure if all of the robberies were committed by the same suspect since there are differences in the witness descriptions. Thomason adds, if you are held up, you should comply with demands since no amount of money is worth losing your life.
