CHICAGO -- Some say Sunday was the perfect football weather. But, runners braved the chilly temperatures to hit the streets in the Windy City. An estimated 45,000 people participated in the 35th Annual Chicago Marathon.

The route runs more than 26-miles starting on the north side of town, heading south. About 1.7 million people were there to see it in person. Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia won the event, setting a new course record at a little more than 2:04:00. His total prize money is $150,000.
