Senior night that almost didn't happen

WESTVILLE -- Some football players celebrated a senior night that almost didn't happen. Westville High School hosted Oakwood Armstrong-Potomac Saturday night, but it should have been the other way around.

Westville's final home game was supposed to be next week. But its opponent, Hoopeston Area High School, doesn't have enough players to field a team.

That meant no senior night for the team and band. So to make sure Westville seniors and their parents got their moment in the spotlight, the game was switched. To offset getting a home game two seasons in a row, Westville will play at Oakwood AP over the next two years.
