Political robocalls invading voter's homes

DANVILLE -- People say robo-calls may be having the opposite effect candidates are hoping for. One woman says she gets about ten a day. Instead of making her want to vote for that candidate, it makes her not want to.

Representatives from the 13th Congressional District race were contacted to see if those candidates use this type of campaign strategy. David Gill's campaign manager said, "they [robo-calls] have lower returns than doing the work of personally contacting voters and talking with them about the issues."

Rodney Davis' camp said,"our campaign prefers to have volunteers call voters directly and in person.  While we have used recorded calls in this campaign, we have been excited about the response we have received from calls volunteers have placed."

If you want to vote for one of these two candidates in this year's election, make sure you're registered. The deadline is Tuesday, October 9.
