URBANA -- The two men running for the White House met face to face Wednesday night. They offered their ideas to solving America's problems.

It was the first debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Even though Republicans and Democrats watched the debate separately, they did agree on what they wanted to hear and that was all about jobs and the economy.

Both the President and governor plan to invest in education and training along with keeping taxes low on small businesses. But, they disagreed on how to make that happen.

This is the first of four debates of this election season. The next will be Thursday October 11, between Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan.
