CHAMPAIGN -- A high school sports team proves it's more than just athletes. These Kids to Know are on Central's soccer team.

Their coach wants them to be be good on the field and good citizens. The team has been volunteering time.

About 35-players showed up for the most recent outing to collect money for the Eastern Illinois Food Bank last Friday. One says it helps team chemistry and so much more.

The athletes also donated their uniforms to the Cunningham Children's Home and helped out at the Salvation Army. The coach asked them how many times they wanted to volunteer, and the kids said, "As much as we can!"
