Lake levels continue dropping

DECATUR -- Summer might be long gone, but that doesn't mean the city couldn't still use more rain. Lake Decatur continues to dry up.
 
City leaders say the lake is 611.03' below sea level; about 3' below normal for this time of year.

The water level also dropped more than 4" in the past several weeks. That means the stage two water restrictions won't be lifted anytime soon.

The city is still using Dewitt County and Cisco wells as extra water supplies.
