CHAMPAIGN -- Parkland students are helping feed families by feeding themselves. All it took was a can of food. Students could trade that in for a free lunch.

Donations go to the Eastern Illinois Food Bank as part of its Food for Families Drive. Parkland is trying to collect 2,000 lbs. of food.

The college is also trading free coffee or juice for canned food. The drive continues through Friday, October 12.
