Man pleads "not guilty" to murder & robbery

CHARLESTON -- A man facing murder and robbery charges pleaded not guilty Monday. 25-year old Joshua Mefford is accused of beating 58-year old Robert Montague to death during a robbery at the U.S. Grant Motel in Mattoon in September.

Monday, Mefford requested a jury trial. He's due back in court in November.
