UI gets money to study nucs

NATIONAL -- The federal government is giving the UI $3.5 million to fund a nuclear innovation project. It's part of the Obama Administration's plan to keep the country globally competitive.

The money will support research and development and student investment. The award is part of a $13 million investment in nuclear energy breakthroughs around the country.
