CLINTON -- Car lovers are revving up their engines to help a little boy and his family buy a service dog. Hundreds turned out for the event Sunday.

Organizers say they pick a new charity every year, and this year they wanted to help Tyler Auten. The 6-year-old was diagnosed with autism a few years ago.

His dad, Tim, says the service dog will help keep an extra eye on the little boy and help curb some of his behavioral issues. He says he couldn't be more grateful to see such wonderful community support.

The service dog will cost about $20,000. The family has to pay $13,000. 4 Paws for Ability will cover the rest.
