CHAMPAIGN -- Planned Parenthood is offering a new birth control option for men. It is a low cost, less-invasive vasectomy. The procedure doesn't require a scalpel, and some men even return to work the next day.

It's the first time the center has ever offered permanent birth control for men. It costs less than $700.  Planned Parenthood is taking appointments for October.

To set one up, call 1-800-230-PLAN or click here.
