CHAMPAIGN -- An Illinois man is walking thousands of miles across the country to honor fallen military men and women. He's already run 4,000 miles to honor them.

Now he's trying to hit the 10,000 mark with another journey across America. Mike Ehredt is this week's Hometown Hero.

If you would like to submit a Central Illinois Hometown Hero for Amanda Porterfield to feature during the 5 pm News, please send in a letter, e-mail or submit a form on this website.
