CHAMPAIGN -- A social justice meeting was a success with Unit 4 teachers, parents and administrative leaders. Teachers, parents and district leaders got together Thursday night, not to talk about contracts, but about social justice in schools.

Assistant Superintendent Laura Taylor led the discussion hoping to identify overlooked issues in the district. Administrators say they want to find any problems that might be holding students back. Thursday night was the first meeting. The next will be October 23.
