Items auctioned to recover city's money

DIXON -- More than 2,000 eager buyers visited an auction this weekend. They were bidding on the high-priced belongings owned by the city's former comptroller.

Rita Crundwell is accused of stealing $53-million from the city, so it's selling her stuff to recoup some money. Items up for auction included tractor equipment and prized horses.

One woman from Canada had her eyes on a particular stallion. It cost her nearly $800,000.

U.S. Marshals will get some of the money to pay for the animals' care. The rest goes back to the city.
