ARCOLA -- Rain made for a soggy Broomcorn Festival. But, some were able to get in a little fun before the downpour.

There was a sweeping contest. WCIA-3's Dave Benton and Jennifer Roscoe competed.

Whoever swept the most corn through the maze and into a hole won. Dave used strategy to take home First Place!

Illini women's basketball coach, Matt Bolant, got second. Jennifer Roscoe grabbed third and State Representative Adam Brown came in fourth.
