ARCOLA -- One company wants to switch up how people see a common household item. In Our Town, brooms can be works of art.

The Monahan Partners held a Craft Broom Contest this year. Entries came in from all around the country; some as far as Pennsylvania.

The most unique entry was a broom made from a turkey's foot. The rules allow you to be as creative as you want, but the broom must be able to do its job.

The winner received $1,000. It's the first year for the contest. The company plans on doing it again.
