ARCOLA -- A family recipe blossoms into a local favorite for people looking to enjoy a delicious dip. Shelley Thomas has been blending her special salsa recipe for 15-years. It finally hit stores shelves in November.

People kept urging Thomas to make her secret salsa a business. She and her husband found a company to mass produce it last year. She says sales are steady, but it's not about the money.

Thomas' salsa can be found at IGA's in Arcola, Tuscola, Sullivan and Arthur. It's also on shelves at more than 50-area Rural Kings.
