PARIS -- It brings people from around town and around the state. A museum is keeping art alive in Our Town.

The Bicentennial Art Center and Museum was originally someone's home. The owner donated it to honor his wife who was an art lover. Today, it's a gallery.

Thousands of pieces are displayed each year. Teachers also offer classes here during the summer. Museum leaders say their goal is to discover talent right in their own backyard.

The museum offers at least a half-dozen exhibits each year. The next one starts Friday.
