URBANA -- There was a lot of buzz around a UI fraternity Tuesday. A beekeeper was brought in to remove 60,000 bees from inside a column at the ATO House. There was between 5 - 6' of honeycomb in the column.

The beekeeper says it's not uncommon to see this kind of infestation this time of year. He's already removed bees from six other sites this summer.

He says you should never try to kill bees yourself but let a professional beekeeper remove the bees and locate them to a hive so they can continue making honey.
