Not a Snow Shovel in Sight

DECATUR- Local stores are out of snow removal equipment. There's not a snow shovel or snow blower for miles around.
For many of us trying to leave for work this morning wasn't much fun. Those without a garage or snow shovel found themselves trapped in high drifts of snow.
So I was on a mission to find something, anything to dig my car out of the drift and I soon learned I wasn't alone.
George and Jenenne Helms missed two days of work because they couldn't get their cars out of the driveway. They say the drift was up to the hoods of their cars.
I traveled to store after store with no luck. At target there were only a few window scrapers left but nothing to help me get out of the heavy and high snow.
"A lot of people looking for snow shovels, snow blowers, gloves but because we got such a late hit some of it we unfortunately don't have," said Target manager, Tim Larken.
At Wal-mart shelves were bare as well. I searched aisle by aisle and only found a few rakes. It looked like everyone in town had been there first, except the Helms who were in the same predicament I was. They say they are going to just wait till it gets warm and melts away.
After a full day of shopping and still no shovel it looks like I'll have to take their advice and wait till things warm up.
