The city of Decatur has already declared a snow emergency effective at 12:01 February 13th. In a snow emergency you have 6 hours to move your car from designated snow routes. Those routes will be labeled with red and white signs that read "No Parking after 2 inches of snow fall."
City crews are out salting the roads. The city says it decided to declare a snow emergency early because they aren't taking any chances this time.
