Decatur Arrests

Updated: February 12, 2007
Police in Decatur arrested three people in Decatur on animal cruelty charges. Two of those people were in court this weekend. 23 year old Mercedes Benz and 29 year old Oscar Green are accused of starving a dog to death. Animal control found the dog in the 1000 block of North Edward. The sheriffs department says the dog was found frozen in its dog house and was dead for more than a week. Another woman was arrested yesterday when animal control found her dog starving and locked in a kennel. Shell be in court tomorrow. That dog had to be put down.
