CHATHAM -- Our Town Chatham is a modern city with a rich history. If you're headed here, you might want to stop and take a look at its Veteran's Memorial.

It features a cannon from the 1800's and the names of more than 200 U.S. vets, Some date as far back as the Revolutionary War.

But, it's also a living memorial; meaning a lot of the names you see are still alive. There are no ranks listed on the bricks.

Les Morgan, who helped build the memorial, says he didn't want any of them to stand out. There's still room to add more bricks. The veteran does not have to be from Chatham to get one.
