Hometown Heroes: Veteran driven to help others

DECATUR -- Hometown Heroes is a new series by WCIA-3's Amanda Porterfield, highlighting the accomplishments of veterans all around Central Illinois. These stories air each Friday at 5 pm.

Now, we introduce you to a Decatur man who shows us being a Hometown Hero is simple. When hearing the word hero, you may envision superpowers or a cape. However, what about those who have served our country and are still serving?

WCIA-3's Amanda Porterfield introduces you to David Freyling from Decatur. A man who shows us being a "Hometown Hero" is simple.
