Two Pit bulls are put to sleep

Updated: February 3, 2007
PitsTwo pit bulls that mauled a Danville mail carrier were put to sleep on Friday. Wendy Hoskins was attacked by the dogs while on her route in December. Postal workers want pet owners to keep their animals on a leash. The post office does warn carriers about spots where there are vicious dogs, but sometimes, even that doesn't help. In this case, the pit bulls ran across the street to attack her. They were not on leashes either.
