Carle Plans New Facility

Carle hospital could soon be expanding its services. The hospital hopes to build a 36-bed rehabilitation institute in North Champaign. Carle filed its certificate of need application with the state on Monday, and should get an answer by May or June. Hospital officials say they are trying to keep up with the need here in East Central Illinois. If all goes to plan, Hospital officials say they hope to open their doors by September of next year.
