Were counting down to the big game, and its time to tackle planning the bash! Want to show some team spirit? Well, well show you how to dress up home-baked cupcakes and turn them into fan favorites like this. We prepare a chocolate cake mix according to the package directions then stir some chopped-up chocolate mints (like these) into the batter. Pour it all into 18 paper-lined cups in a cupcake pan and, in a preheated 350°F. oven, bake them for about 26 to 30 minutes, until they pass the toothpick test. Meanwhile, in a bowl, we mix a container of vanilla frosting with 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract and 8 to 10 drops of green food color. We frost the cupcakes when cool then make them fun and team-spirited by drawing lines and numbers on them with white decorating gel, and topping them off with a chocolate-covered almond. See! Looks like a football on the field! And when we put a platter of these babies out at half-time, the crowd-pleasing rich chocolate and sparkling mint combo is going to score us a tasty touchdown of our own! And if youd like the recipe, its online, or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, marked "Game-Day Cupcakes," to me, Mr. Food, here at the station, for tackling their sweet tooth at our bowl party with a sweet ending thats always a winner - because "OOH ITS SO GOOD!!®"
