There's a high profile executive in Champaign who leads a double life.
You may know him as Christie Clinic's CEO.
But we did a little investigating, and now we know him for something else.

Alan Gleghorn is the CEO of Christie Clinic.
Well, that's what he tells people.
If you didn't know any better, you may not look past the title to see what else is there.

It would seem to most people like Gleghorn's life as a CEO is pretty typical.
He gets to the office early, knocks out a few emails and phone calls, and huddles up his team for the daily meeting.
"I fashion myself as a head coach here, i like to work with them in a coaching capacity, not a dictatorial capacity," explains Gleghorn.

But when it comes to other activities, Gleghorn is relentless..
We're talking about his other title of "runner."
"I've run a lot of half marathons, I've only run four full marathons. That that was enough to figure out that was a long ways to run," he said.

Gleghorn is training for yet another race.
He's running in the Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon's half marathon.
"Just like everything else in life, if you set it as a high priority, time appears and resources appear to make things happen. So i consider it a very high priority to set an example."

He does that by waking up early three days a week and getting his six miles in before he gets to work.
Once he's at the office, he keeps moving .
"I feel like when you don't have a typical desk and you work standing up, that's one other way you can be active. I have a head set phone so when i have a conference call i can walk around the room."

Gleghorn has been running for 13 years.
He says it's his responsibility to stay fit and set a good example for his family and the community.
"The thing i get the biggest thrill of are people that i know started running because the marathon started here in the community. I think that's the number one positive from us doing the event here locally," said Gleghorn.
