55-year sentence, basically life behind bars

SHELBY COUNTY -- A Herrick man will most likely spend the rest of his life behind bars. 53-year old Wayne Newlin was found guilty of killing Jeremy Morgan in December. He's been sentenced to 55-years in prison. 

22-year old Michael Pease was also charge with that murder. He's currently serving his 45-year sentence behind bars.

Two men from Herrick facing murder charges appeared in court this morning for a pretrial hearing. 22-year old Michael Pease and 52-year old Wayne Newlin are accused of killing 25-year old Jeremy Morgan in December.

There's no word on a motive. Newlin returns to court in April, while Pease is scheduled for May.
