1900 - 15 inches of snow fell in Springfield, which is the city's highest 24 hours snowfall total.  This pushed the month's total to 24.4 inches, whic is also the most snow ever received in one month in Springfield.  Normal snowfall for an entire winter in Springfield is around 24 inches.
