This Day In Weather History

1994 - Snow started the afternoon of the this date and continued into the next day.  When it was over, snowfall totals were more than 9 inches in northern Illinois.  Moline had 9.6 inches, Rockford had 9.3, Chicago had 9.1 inches, and Romeoville had 10 inches.  Strong northwest winds caused considerable blowing and drifting snow.
