This Day In Weather History

1993 -  Central and southern Illinois were dumped on by a heavy snowfall with totals being over 6 inches south of a line from Quincy to Springfield to Paris.  The heaviest snow was between Carbondale and the Mississippi River and that totaled to more than 10 inches and a foot in some places.  The total snowfall in Sprinfield from the storm was 7.6 inches.
